BFOC 2010!!!

I have married into a truly great family. A family that welcomes you with open arms and plenty of passed drinks :0) They don't care if you have had some tequila episodes or a run in with a port-o-potty (and yes the port-o-potty won...)

For the last 32 summers the Brown Family has gotten together and held the annual Brown Family Camp Out (BFCO). We have shirts, we have a parade, we have fires, potlucks and FUN! Oh and also a few margaritas, champagne, whiskey, beer, island drinks...you get the idea :0) For the last 9 summers I have been lucky enough to be a part of such a great tradition.

This year we rolled in on Thursday (a day early) and stayed through until Monday. It was PERFECT weather, blue skies and sun with absolute no rain! Ella was a FANTASTIC camper. She was so much fun. Watching her interact with her cousins and extended family was a joy. She laughed and played in the river, helped take care of the babies and slept like a champ! One night her and Grampy even fell asleep by the fire all cuddled up.
I truly am blessed to have such a great set of in-laws who are so fun and welcoming...I am already looking forward to BFCO 2011. (Which I have been told is already in the making!)

That is awesome! Camping is such a great family thing to do. We actually are planning a camping trip for late September. I love those photos and isn't it grand having in-laws you love?!

I, too, have WONDERFUL inlaws and we go camping all the time!! Matter of fact, we just bought an older pop up so that Daniel, Dawson, Simon (one of our dogs) and myself can have our own space and not have to always hang out with daniel's parents in their camper. It gives us enough room to keep D semi on schedule when we go.

Secondly, WHERE do y'all go that allows for hoodies and baby hats?!? WAY TOO HOT even at night for that right now, here...and it sucks!

Mandie we were in NH where it is 90 during the day and high 40s at night...That weekend we could see our breath at night! Secondly we have an older (1976) pop-up that was given to us by one of Derrick's uncles! We love it!!! It is so great for the 3 of us and our dog :o)

Okay, I cant stand how cute Ella is! I seen someone at JC Penney the other day that look just liked you (pretty hot) and she had a little girl too. I had to check out the situation to see if she was as cute as Ella - NOPE! Ella was waaaay cuter (of course!). Anyway, glad you had a great time!!

Oh and PS, in that last picture, the little boy in the front looks like Claire's little boy Parker! Doesnt he?!

Janell, I thought the same thing about Parker!

And I LOVE that Ella goes camping in a tutu! You have the cutest family!

Psh. "In-laws" sounds so stuffy. I wouldn't call us in-laws--just family you didn't find out about right away. Bonus family!

And that picture of Ella and Gary is adorable.

Love,
